Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys Top List of 2010's Most Charitable Stars

Lady Gaga is anything but another cookie-cutter blonde pop princess. Known for her infectious beats, oddball fashions and an unpredictable attitude, Gaga is a feisty addition to the music scene wrapped in a glittery bow-tied package.

Before burning up the charts with hits from her debut album The Fame, Stefani "Gaga" Germanotta was a college dropout who performed in Manhattan burlesque clubs and wrote songs for Britney Spears and New Kids on the Block. But thanks to five mega-hits (from "Just Dance" to "Bad Romance") and countless risk-taking ensembles, the disco queen racked up five Grammy nominations in 2009.

LADY GAGA :  FIVE FUN FACTS
  1. Lady Gaga's stage name is a tribute to the Queen song "Radio Ga Ga."
  2. Lady Gaga often carries a purple teacup and saucer in public. "I drank tea with my mom, [so teacups] make me feel at home," she told PEOPLE.
  3. Chicago cops cited Lady Gaga for indecent exposure for wearing hot pants in public.
  4. Lady Gaga dyed her dark hair blonde after an interviewer confused her with Amy Winehouse. "I want to be known for my own look," she told PEOPLE.
  5. Lady Gaga graduated from the posh Manhattan high school Convent of the Sacred Heart, Nicky and Paris Hilton's alma mater.
